Seed Faith, Harvest Debt

A Fully Tax-Deductible Sermon on the Divine ATM, Private Jets, and Why Heaven Needs Your Card Number in Particular

Preached July 21, 2026The Prophet, allegedly25:03 of bellowing[E] Explicit & proud
I

Right. Sit down. The seats are free. Note the precedent.

Nobody blessed this pew before you sat in it, and nobody will invoice you after. Hold that thought, my darlings. Cup it in your hands like a votive. It is the last free thing in this sermonu2019s subject matter.nnBROTHERS AND SISTERS, THERE IS A JET IN THIS SERMON. And you paid for it.

Hear now the word of the broadcast. Plant a seed of one hundred dollars, saith the man with the hair, and heaven shall return it hundredfold.nnBeloved u2014 if that arithmetic worked, the ministry would simply mail ITSELF cheques. Round and round, doubling by dinnertime, until the whole economy was one enormous collection plate spinning like a centrifuge. Why, then, does the miracle require your card number in particular? Sit in that. Properly sit in it. The maths has a hole in it, and the hole is jet-shaped.

III

The divine ATM has no deposit slot on his side

Observe the mechanism, my loves, for it is beautiful the way a mousetrap is beautiful. He sows nothing and reaps a Gulfstream. You sow the rent and reap a keychain, a laminated prayer cloth, and a newsletter that asks for more seed.nnProsperity, in this doctrine, flows precisely one direction u2014 like a gutter. And when your harvest fails to arrive, the fault, remarkably, is your faith. Not the model. Never the model. The casino, beloved, has annexed the pulpit, and the house edge is called anointing.

IV

A roll call of the anointed invoices

Let us parade them now before the collection plate, one by one, with love u2014 and with receipts.

Woe u21161 u2014 the hundredfold-promisers

Who quote the parable of the sower as though the sower were a hedge fund. The sower, mate, was sowing WHEAT. He ate it. At no point did the wheat return as a marble foyer.

Woe u21162 u2014 the jet-fleet apostles

Who require four aircraft because the Lord cannot hear prayers over commercial engine noise, apparently. Economy, they explain, is a tube full of demons. So was the upgrade desk, but the demons there took miles.

Woe u21163 u2014 the miracle-water merchants

Who bottle forty-dollar healing at a margin that would embarrass a stadium. It cures, they whisper, what testimony alone cannot: the quarterly target.

Woe u21164 u2014 the name-it-claim-it decorators

Who vision-board the Bentley and call the mood board a covenant. That is not faith, my loves. That is a wish list with incense. The showroom, notably, still requires financing.

The Great Heresy u00b7 say it into the camera
If MY donation makesnYOU rich first, nit is not a miracle. It is a funnel.
VI

The Reckoning

HEAR ME, you who tithe on credit. The fire is coming, and it compounds monthly. It arrives as interest. As a second mortgage on a first blessing. As a grandmotheru2019s pension planted in soil that grows only hangars.nnThere is no devil taking your money. There is a man. He has a P.O. box, a merchandise table, and a fifth jet on order.nnJudgment is an overdraft notice with a return address in a tax haven.

Five acts of solvent repentance

Repentance in this church is not a feeling. It is a to-do list u2014 itemised, dated, and deductible nowhere.

1

Audit thy tithe

Trace last yearu2019s giving to its landing site. If you cannot find where it landed, beloved, it landed on a runway.

2

Read the fine print of every covenant

A blessing with a billing cycle is a subscription. Heaven does not do auto-renew, and it has never once charged a cancellation fee.

3

Give where the grace is measurable

The food bank. The utility fund. The neighbour whose fridge you can hear failing through the wall. The only verified multiplication of loaves, my loves, is a food bank on a Saturday morning.

4

Learn the one true compound miracle

Open a savings account. Interest is the only hundredfold that documents itself u2014 quarterly, in writing, without a tambourine.

5

Comfort the fleeced without mockery

The shame is the mechanism; it keeps them sending. Be the relative who asks gently what the seed was for, then helps them cancel the recurring gift with dignity intact.

X

The Benediction

Go now in peace, and in SOLVENCY. May your generosity be enormous and your receipts be itemised. May every gift you give land somewhere with a floor, a fridge, and a face.nnAnd should a silken preacher promise you heaven a wire transfer away, place a gentle hand upon his lapel and remind him: the widow gave two mites, and the scripture praised her u2014 it did not upsell her the mite protection plan.nnAMEN. AND ALSO, AUDITS.
